Why is AST SpaceMobile (ASTS) stock moving?

ASTS is in a sharp, heavy-volume selloff. It fell about 15% to $30.20 on Nov 5, on roughly 33.8M shares against about 13-18M normally. That was despite a U.S. Space Force contract win. Over the past week it is down about 28%, and over the past month about 50%. It sits about 77% below its May high of $133.86 and below all major moving averages. It touched a low near $27.58 on Nov 6 before bouncing about 3.7% to around $31.3. Fundamentals are mixed. Revenue is growing, but the business burns cash. It has missed EPS estimates in each of the last four quarters, and commercial service revenue is still unproven. Positives include Brazil regulatory authorization with four operator deals, and consensus targets of about $81 that sit well above the price. The Firefly engine commitment of over $1.3B for a heavy-lift rocket adds to the capital needs. Q3 results are due after the close on Nov 9. Consensus is $45.73M revenue and a $0.42 loss per share. Launch timing, funding and revenue guidance will drive the reaction. Beta is near 2.9, so large moves in either direction are likely. The selling has been decisive, but the stock is oversold and today's early bounce is small.
