Why is CDW Corporation (CDW) stock moving?
CDW's third-quarter sales rose 17.7% to $6.75 billion, about 9% above the roughly $6.2 billion expected, led by servers and storage for AI and data-center upgrades, plus laptops and software. Adjusted earnings rose about 20% to $3.26 a share versus about $2.98 expected. Gross margin slipped to 20.5% from 21.9% because hardware-heavy projects carry thinner margins, but cost control lifted adjusted operating income 16.8% to $620 million. Management now expects the U.S. IT market to grow at a high-single-digit rate in 2026 and CDW to beat it by 3-4 percentage points, and it raised the quarterly dividend 8% to $0.68. The stock closed up about 13% at $168.75, after touching a 52-week high of $172.47.
