Why is CrowdStrike Holdings (CRWD) stock moving?

CRWD fell about 10% on Nov 5, to roughly $217 from a $241 close. Volume was heavy, with 17.62M shares against a 9.33M average. The selloff came after a strong run: shares rose from about $227 on Oct 16 to a high near $272 on Oct 28, and the stock is up 83-106% over the past year or year to date. The drop looks macro and sentiment driven rather than tied to a business problem. Reported causes are fear of tighter AI regulation after the midterms, a rotation out of high-multiple tech, and insider sales. The CEO sale of $11.2M was partly tax withholding, and a director sold $3.44M. Valuation is a real risk at about 198x forward earnings. Fundamentals and analyst views remain supportive: record net new ARR of $333M (+51%), 26% revenue growth, a Deutsche Bank upgrade to Buy with a $300 target, BTIG at $312, Freedom Broker at $320, and $495M of AI security acquisitions. The next catalyst is fiscal Q3 earnings on Dec 1. Near-term volatility is likely, but the longer-term thesis remains intact.
