Why is Alphabet (Google) (GOOG) stock moving?

GOOG fell sharply after Q3 results. It dropped from $321.89 on Oct 28 to $282.32 on Oct 29 on volume of about 1.98M shares, far above the usual 200-400K. Revenue of $127.6B (+25%) narrowly missed. Adjusted EPS of $2.67 missed the $3.02 consensus, search growth slowed to 12%, and free cash flow was negative $9.1B on record capex of $51.4B. Management said 2027 capex will rise significantly, and Alphabet has also been tapping bond markets. Google Cloud is a clear positive: revenue rose 103% to $30.7B with a 36.2% margin, and a large backlog was disclosed. After the drop the stock stabilized in a $272-$285 range at about $278 through Nov 3. News on Nov 4 shows a rebound of nearly 5% on a risk-on market. Risks remain: a shareholder class action, EU copyright scrutiny over Gemini, and doubts about AI capex returns. Analyst targets are well above the current price, but the stock is oversold and sentiment is fragile, so near-term direction depends on the AI trade and market momentum.
