Why is Halozyme Therapeutics, Inc. (HALO) stock moving?

Halozyme reported a strong Q3: revenue rose 39% to $493M, royalties rose 44% to a record $341M, and adjusted EBITDA reached $336.2M. Management raised 2026 guidance on every metric, with revenue now $1.86B-$1.925B and non-GAAP EPS $8.75-$9.05. The market focused on the size of the raise instead. Guidance midpoints were only marginally above consensus, and the stock had risen about 12% in the month before the report, near its $134 high on Oct 30. Shares fell 5.7% on Nov 5 to $122.96, with volume well above average. They then fell a further 13% or so on Nov 6 to about $105 after a Leerink downgrade citing marginal upside. Citizens JMP raised its target to $149 and kept an outperform rating. Fundamentals remain strong, with a growing royalty base from VYVGART, Ocrevus Zunovo and other partner products. A Dutch patent win against Merck is a positive, but US litigation continues. Net leverage of 2.4x after the $1.5B convertible offering is a watch item. The near-term setback looks driven by expectations and positioning, not a deterioration in the business.
