Why is QUALCOMM (QCOM) stock moving?

Qualcomm rallied 5.3% to $173.19 on Nov 4 ahead of its fiscal Q4 report, after a sharp slide from $185.41 on Oct 29 to about $162. The report was thin. Adjusted EPS of $2.17 beat by a penny, and revenue of $10.44B beat but fell 8% year over year. Q1 guidance was roughly in line, with a revenue midpoint of $10.8B. The market focused on the weak parts: handset revenue is expected to fall sequentially by a mid-single-digit percentage, the data center segment dilutes chip margins, and full-year adjusted EPS fell 12%. Extended trading and premarket quotes put the stock at about $154-$160, down roughly 9-11%. JPMorgan and Baird cut price targets, and Goldman and RBC held Hold ratings. Offsets include the data center target of $5B in fiscal 2027, the AWS deal worth up to $60B over 10 years, automotive strength and a SpaceX network-technology deal. The stock is volatile, with a beta around 2, and it trails the S&P 500 this year. The gap-down to the $155-$160 area breaks below the recent $160 low. A sector-wide semiconductor and AI pullback adds pressure.
