Why is Rocket Lab USA (RKLB) stock moving?

RKLB fell 12.2% on Nov 5 to $45.99 on about 36.8M shares, roughly twice the recent daily volume. It broke below the $50 to $60 range after the Nasdaq dropped 5.6% in a post-election sell-off in AI and high-growth stocks. The move was not driven by company news. On Nov 6 the stock rebounded intraday from a $46.51 low to about $52.66, recovering most of the loss. That shows dip buyers, but also high volatility. Company-specific pressure remains. Neutron's first launch has slipped to 2027 after tank defects, Q3 gross margin is guided lower to 29%-31% GAAP, and the stock trades at a rich sales multiple. Supportive points include Q3 revenue guidance of $250M to $265M, record Q2 revenue of $234M (+62%), a strong analyst buy skew, and a median target of $105. Q3 earnings on Nov 9 after the close are the immediate catalyst, and the options market is pricing a large move. The result could swing sharply either way. Backlog, the Neutron timeline and margins are the key items. The macro and political backdrop is unstable.
