Why is Snap Inc. (SNAP) stock moving?

Snap reported Q3 results on Nov 4 with a mixed outcome. Revenue grew 14% to $1.72B, in line to slightly below consensus. Net income was $56M, Adjusted EBITDA more than doubled to $383M, and free cash flow was $164M. The market focused on the misses. DAU of 495M fell short of 499M expected, and ad revenue grew only 4%, down from 9% in Q2. CPG advertisers cut spending. The plan to drop DAU reporting in 2027 added to the skepticism. Q4 guidance is solid: revenue of $1.95B-$1.985B and Adjusted EBITDA of $490M-$525M. A downgrade to Sell was reported. The stock had rebounded from $5.34 to $5.92 into the print, on its highest volume in the period (140,978 shares). It traded about 9-11% lower in after-hours and premarket trading, near $5.3-$5.4. The 52-week range is $3.93-$9.09, and the stock is down over 30% year to date. Profitability and cash generation are improving. Slowing ad growth and weak user trends limit sentiment.
