Why is Tradr 2X Short SNDK Daily ETF (SNDQ) stock moving?

SNDQ is a daily-reset -2x inverse fund on SanDisk (SNDK). On Nov 5 it surged to a $35.50 close, up about 44% from $24.59, on 32.2M shares, roughly double the recent average. The driver was a 22% SNDK collapse to about $806. Memory and AI-linked stocks sold off on fears that the midterm results could slow data center buildout. SNDK had already fallen 7.9% on Nov 4 and was down about 58% from its September high. SNDQ had also rallied from about $14.80 on Oct 28 to $35.50. SNDK was rebounding about 9% in Friday premarket, which points to a sharp pullback in SNDQ. Because the fund resets daily, volatility decay hurts it in choppy markets. SNDK's very low forward multiple, a consensus target near $2,056 and a $10.5B buyback authorization could support a bounce in SNDK. Further AI-spending scares could extend the move in SNDQ.

News behind the analysis

This is informational analysis, not investment advice. SNDQ is a leveraged inverse ETF that resets daily, so it can lose value quickly and is not suited to long-term holding. Do your own research before investing.
