The Daily Standout: Lattice Semiconductor Corporation (LSCC) +12.08%
For a month, investors have been selling anything tied to AI hardware: chip funds are down about 18% and the Nasdaq-100 slipped into a correction. Lattice's report pushes back with hard numbers. Sales of its small programmable chips, used in AI servers and factory gear, rose 118% to a record $291 million. It guided the next quarter to about $335 million, roughly 12% above what analysts expected, and said orders already stretch into 2028. The reaction is backed by real buying: in the first hour more shares changed hands than on a normal full day. That points to large investors stepping in, not online hype, since retail forums barely mention the stock. Today is the right day to look because Lattice is moving about five times as much as the chip sector's bounce, and AMD reports tonight, which will test the same demand story. The catch: part of the growth comes from a July acquisition, the stock is still 31% below its high, and chip stocks have been swinging hard in both directions.
Revvity rose about 11% to a new 52-week high after its profit beat forecasts and it raised its growth outlook, making it the strongest name in a lab-tools group that is already near its highs.
Neurocrine rose about 13% after sales grew 41% and profit came in roughly 70% above forecasts, yet it still trades at only about 14 times expected earnings, cheap for that pace of growth.
Eaton rose about 7% after record sales (+28%), a 46% jump in its electrical order backlog and a raised outlook, the strongest proof today that spending on power for AI data centers is still accelerating.
Fiserv rose about 9% after a slightly better-than-feared quarter, a doubled cost-savings target ($1 billion) and an early $500 million buyback, a turnaround story trading at only about 7 times expected earnings.
AMD is up about 5% into tonight's results and is the second most-discussed stock on retail forums, with mentions up more than five-fold. Its report is the day's biggest test of whether AI chip demand can outrun a weakening PC market.
Palantir fell about 5% even though sales grew 96% and it raised its forecast, because new contract signings grew only 6%. That makes it today's clearest example of investors paying for future bookings rather than current results.
Gartner fell about 18%, the worst drop among large US companies today, as revenue shrank 1.3% and its key contract measure grew just 2.5%, even though profit beat and it raised guidance. Its research and advisory peers fell with it.

What this analysis couldn't check
Prices are an intraday snapshot (about 10:24 AM ET, under one hour into the session). Today's volume covers only part of the day, so comparisons with normal full-day volume understate the final number.
AMD (and Arm) report after today's close. AMD's scores were set before the results and may be outdated within hours; the report can also move Lattice and other chip stocks.
Midterm election results arrive overnight. A change in control of Congress could move AI, healthcare and financial stocks on Wednesday regardless of company news.
Analyst price targets in market data were mostly set before this week's reports. Revvity trades above its average target, and Fiserv and Gartner trade near theirs, so those averages are likely to change.
Several companies report growth that includes recent acquisitions (Lattice with AMI, Eaton with Boyd Thermal). Organic growth is lower than the headline figures.
Social-attention data mainly reflects retail investor forums. Revvity, Neurocrine, Eaton and Lattice get little discussion there, so their sentiment reads lean more on news and analyst tone. Gartner's ticker (IT) is also a common word, which makes its social data noisy.
Fundamental ratios (growth, margins, debt) partly reflect the prior reported quarter. The latest-quarter figures come from the news cited for each ticker.
